Road Trip To Hyderabad

Yeah the decision was spontaneous. We decided to make it happen.
Road trip to Hyderabad.

Hyderabad:

Population: 64 lacs. India’s 6th largest metropolitan city also referred as the IT hub of india along with Bangalore and Pune.

Area: 567 Sq. Km
Famous for: Ranked 19th out of 41 world’s best cities to travel in 2011.

4th best city to live in India.
>>Ramoji film city is the largest film city in Asia and the second largest in the world.
>>The headquarter of Microsoft India and Google India is located in Hyderabad.

We managed four bikes and two of them were without Registration Certificate (RC). And three riders without any driving license. Two of the bikes were like they were never taken for servicing for over a year. We actually paid for that. Their tyre punctured. It would have been more pleasure had the highway passed through the hills.
NH-7
We started our journey at 8 in the morning. In Maharashtra, this year’s Mansoon has broken last 40 years rainfall record and its still on its way to break another century record. We travelled using NH-7, which has four beautiful, well maintained one way lanes. National highway is funded by the central government. So, the highway was in very good condition. The design speed of that highway must be 100 kmph. Hyderabad was 485 km from Zero mile in Nagpur. Taking average speed of our motorbike as 60 kmph, we assumed that we would reach Hyderabad in maximum 10 hours. The rain had to disturb us. We took a night rest at Armoor, a small town and travelled remaining 184 Km in 3 hours the next morning.
It was still 24 km left to reach the centre of the city. But the city had already started to show its traffic and unmanaged urbanization. We met our friend’s friends there and further proceeded towards the city. The city was normal Indian city with more beggars, traffic police and more flyovers. The city’s traffic was a mess like in Kathmandu. Telegu was used almost everywhere and Telegu actor, Mukesh Babu had replaced Sharukh Khan and Salman Khan in hoarding boards.

Golconda Fort
Salar Jung Museum
Airport Road

The people were nice and friendly. Unlike in north India, people were calm and didn’t behave rudely.
Everything was cheap as compared to Nagpur. A movie ticket in PVR costs Rs. 100. Normal meal costs Rs. 50. Metro Buses were available to every parts of the city. We visited places like , Charminar, Golconda fort, Husain Sagar lake, Nehru Zoological park, Osmania Sagar lake, Salar Jung museum and also ate Hyderabad’s Special Chicken Biryani at the Hotel Paradise.

Visit to Maharashtra's largest dam

Gosikhurd project, a 10,000 crore INR project is one of the largest projects in Vidarbha region. It includes main dam at Gosikhurd village, left and right bank Canal, 4 Lift Irrigation Scheme (LIS) on reservoir, 2 LIS on left bank canal, renovation of Asolamendha project etc.  It is lcated approx. 100 Km from Nagpur. This project is expected to irrigate nearly 5,00,000 hactares of land by 2012. currently, it is irrigating 2,56,000 hectares of land in Vidarbha. Gosikhurd village is located in Pauni Tahsil of
Bhandara district on Wainganga River. Wainganga originates near the village Pratapgarh in
Madhya Pradesh and traverses almost North-South through
Bhandara and Chandrapur district of Maharashtra state. We visited Gosikhurd dam which is created by constructing a composite dam 11.35 km long across River Wainganga. i.e. earthen
Dam both the right and left ban flanks of central masonry gated Ogee spillway 773m long in the river gorge and 14 m above foundation level.
The total catchment area drained up to the proposed dam site of Gosikhurd project is 34,860
km2, out of which 24,261 km2 lies in Madhya Pradesh and 10,627 km2 in Maharashtra
State. Gosikhurd reservoir is created by constructing a composite dam 11.35 km long with earth embankment across River Wainganga. The radial gates of 18.3x16.5 m are used first time in Maharashtra to discharge a design flood of 67,300 m3/sec. The gates are the second largest in India and largest in Maharashtra.
The submerged village.

According to the engineer, we met there, more than 200 villages with population more than 25000 were displaced due to the project. The affected people want the same  The villagers were given land plots along the state highway with basic arrangements.  Still the problem is not sorted out. The people are not happy for what they have been provided. They want  the same provision as provided to the people affected by MIHAN(Multi-modal International Cargo Hub and Airport at Nagpur).
Gate opening system to operate the second largest gate in India.

Right Bank Canal

It is biggest challenge to every engineer of the circle, to convert all designs and drawings in to reality, without entertaining any mistake or fault. Definitely, their contribution in the success of the entire project is uncountable.

Broadlink doubles the speed for unlimited users

There's a good news for the internet users in Nepal, especially those in urban Nepal where Broadlink has its presence. Broadlink, the leading ISP in Nepal has increased its speed by two times. Now the users will get the speed of 256 Kbps with the same price they used to pay for 128 Kbps unlimited plan. It has completely removed its all packages of 128 Kbps with 256 Kbps. Now the Broadlink customers will be able to surf unlimited for 1 month at Rs. 899 including taxes at 256 Kbps.  It now becomes the only ISP in Nepal with the cheapest wireless broadband service.
In addition, the speed for another volume based package, 3GB for Rs. 499 has been increased to 5 Mbps from 768 Kbps.  With this move, the company is expected to attract the users of NTC ADSL service and NCell Connect. Currently, the ADSL users are paying Rs.900 per month excluding 24% tax.  Yeah…ADSl is providing half the speed and is 24% more expensive than Broadlink. Ncell Connect users pay Rs. 499 for 500 MB usage at 3.1 Mbps.
